Betsy Karle received her BS from the University of California, Davis in 1999. In 2003, she received her MS degree at UC Davis, focusing on livestock and water quality issues. She worked as a Post Graduate Researcher at the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center in Tulare and as a Junior Specialist in the Animal Science Department at UC Davis before starting her career with Cooperative Extension. Betsy's UCCE program focuses on all issues of importance to dairies in the northern Sacramento Valley, with a special emphasis on animal health and disease management, especially in dairy calves.
